Check Out and Return My Tools
ServiceVisit lets a technician take custody of a tool and hand it back without being able to manage the whole tools list. You would use it when a technician picks up a piece of equipment from the shop and wants it recorded against their own name.
A unit that is not currently assigned can be checked out to you into a location you choose. A unit that is assigned to you can be returned to a location you choose. A technician with this action cannot take over a unit that someone else holds, and cannot return a unit that is held by someone else.
Both steps are written to the ledger as movements, so the business can see who held each unit and when. Adding units, assigning them to other people and retiring them are separate actions.
