Count Inventory
ServiceVisit lets you run a count of the stock at a location and compare it with what the system shows. You would use it to check a shelf, a vehicle or a warehouse against the records.
On the Counts page you pick a count type and a location and start the count. For each item you add a line with the counted quantity and, if you like, a reason. ServiceVisit records the quantity the system expected at that moment next to what you counted and shows the variance between them. Lines can only be added while the count is in progress, and the counted quantity cannot be negative.
Counting does not change any stock. The system figures only move when the count is reconciled, which is a separate action usually done by someone else.
