Manage Inventory Locations
ServiceVisit lets you create and edit the locations where your stock is kept. You would set up a location for each place you hold inventory, such as a warehouse, a shop or a vehicle, so that every quantity you record belongs to a specific place.
A location has a name, a type, an optional short code and optional notes. You can also choose another location as its parent. When you edit an existing location you can change its status as well.
Locations come first in the inventory workflow. The Stock page asks you to create a location before anything else, because stock is received into a location, transferred between locations, reserved from one and counted at one. Tools and equipment are also checked out to and returned to a location.
