Decline an Estimate

Declining records that a customer has turned down an estimate. It applies to an estimate that has been sent and is waiting for the customer's decision, and it ends the quote as declined. The customer declines from the estimate they received: a Decline Estimate button asks them for a reason, and the decline records who declined and why. Declined estimates appear under the Declined filter on the Estimates page.

A declined estimate is not the end of the conversation. If the customer comes back with different needs or a different budget, you can create a revision of the estimate, adjust the scope or pricing in the new draft, and send it again.

Declining only closes out the quote. It does not create work, and work orders are generated only from an approved estimate.
