Send an Estimate

Sending an estimate moves it from draft to sent (it then shows as Pending Approval on its page) and starts the process of telling the customer about it. Use the Send button on the estimate; the delivery method offered is email with a secure estimate link. After an estimate has been sent it can no longer be edited in place, so use this step when the quote is ready for the customer to decide on.

Before you confirm, ServiceVisit shows where the customer will actually be reached, based on your notification settings and the customer's own contact details. If the customer would be notified on no channel at all, the confirmation says so rather than letting you assume the message went out.

If the customer says they never received it, use Resend; the status stays the same. If the quote needs to change after sending, create a revision. Once the customer approves, the estimate can be converted into work orders.
