Provider Home Overview

Home is the first page a provider sees after signing in. It answers one question: what needs my attention today? It shows the work that is waiting on you, today's schedule for you personally, shortcuts to the things you do most, and, for people who run dispatch or look at reports, a short summary of the wider business. This guide explains the layout and what each part is for.

Before you start

Home is available to every provider on every plan and for every role. Nothing about Home is switched on by your subscription. What changes from person to person is what appears inside it, because each part only shows what that person's role is allowed to use. A technician sees their own day; an owner or dispatcher also sees business-wide items such as jobs without an owner.

The personal "My day" list draws on the jobs you can see. If your role cannot see any jobs, that list cannot be loaded and Home tells you so rather than showing an empty day.

Steps

  1. Choose Home in the main menu. The page greets you with "Good morning", "Good afternoon" or "Good evening" and your business name, based on the time in your own saved time zone, followed by the heading "Here is what needs your attention today."
  2. Read Needs attention first. It is the top-left panel, with a count beside the title. It lists the most important open items across your work, ordered so the most pressing is first. Choose Review on an item to go straight to the job, work order or task. Choose View all to open the full list behind it.
  3. Read My day underneath. It lists the work assigned to you today. Choose an item to open it. Use Track time or View schedule at the top of the panel to jump to those pages.
  4. Use Quick actions on the right to start common work, such as View my jobs or Create job.
  5. If your role includes dispatch, invoices or reports, look at Business pulse on the right. It shows how many jobs still need an owner and offers links to Dispatch, Invoices and Reports.
  6. If you can create jobs, the Create Job button in the page header opens the same new-job form as the Create job quick action.

Tips

  • The indicator "Home signals checked now" confirms the page was built when you opened it. Refresh the page to re-check.
  • Home never shows made-up numbers. If a part could not be checked, it says so instead of reporting that everything is fine.
  • The Needs attention panel shows its four most pressing items. The number beside the title counts all of them.
  • The color bar down the left of each item shows how pressing it is; see the guide on how Home decides what needs attention.

If something goes wrong

If you see "Home could not be loaded completely. Refresh to try again.", refresh the page. If you see "No provider context found. Please select a provider.", you are not signed in to a business; sign out and back in. If My day says "Today’s work is temporarily unavailable. Retry before making scheduling decisions.", reload before you plan the day. A section you expect but cannot see is almost always a role permission; ask the person who manages team access.

See the guides on how Home decides what needs attention and on My day and quick actions for the details of each part.
