Record an Assessment Fee Payment

ServiceVisit lets you record payment against the invoice for an Assessment fee. You would use it once the customer has paid for the visit, so the fee shows as settled.

Payment can be recorded only after the fee has been invoiced. If the assessment has no fee invoice yet, or the fee is not in the invoiced state, ServiceVisit refuses and tells you that the invoice must come first. You enter the payment method, the amount, the date it was paid, and any notes.

ServiceVisit records the payment in the fee's audit trail, so there is a history of who took it.

This is the last step in the fee sequence: the fee is invoiced, then paid. Waiving a fee instead is a separate action.
