Create an Invoice
Creating an invoice produces a draft that can be reviewed before anything reaches the customer. An invoice can be created for a completed work order, in which case its lines are generated from the work done (use Create Invoice on the work order) and only one invoice exists per work order, or as a manual invoice with line items you enter yourself for billing that is not tied to a work order.
Either way the invoice starts as a draft. It is not visible to the customer until it is sent, which is a separate step, and a draft that was started by mistake can be cancelled rather than sent.
This is the step between finishing the work and getting paid. Use it once the work order is done, then review the lines, send the invoice, and collect payment by link, card or a manually recorded payment.
The same permission lets you manage the plans and packages you have sold. For a service plan you can record a payment against a billing cycle, record or correct the visits delivered, pause and reactivate it, and terminate it with an agreed end date and a choice of how the remaining billing is treated. For a package you can pause, resume or cancel it and decide what happens to the funds. You can also set what happens when a payment is missed or only partly made.
When a plan has ended, you can return its unused paid value to the customer as account credit. Returning it as a refund is a separate permission.
