Manage the schedule
ServiceVisit lets you put a Work Order on the calendar and move it later. From a Job's page you can schedule one of its Work Orders by choosing a date, a start time and a duration; the end time is worked out from the duration. You can also record a reason when you pick a duration that differs from the one ServiceVisit recommends.
On the Dispatch board you can drag a scheduled Work Order to a new day; its start time stays the same. Dragging it to a different technician's row reassigns it and reschedules it in one step, which also needs permission to assign and dispatch. Reassigning a Work Order to another technician is a separate action from rescheduling it.
ServiceVisit checks the proposed time against the technician's existing bookings. When it conflicts, the change is not made and the conflicts are reported back to you, and the board marks Work Orders that have a conflict.
Scheduling sits between creating a Work Order and the technician starting it. A Work Order that is still a Draft can be scheduled, which moves it to Scheduled, provided its Authorization Basis is complete.
