Sharing Your Booking Link, QR Code and Website Panel
Your booking page lists the services you offer online. You can reach customers with a readable link, a printable QR code, or a booking panel placed on your own website. This guide explains each, when to use which, and how a customer's route shows up in your requests.
Before you start
- Viewing needs permission to view the booking link. Changing the link needs a separate permission to change it.
- Offer at least one service online first. With none, the page tells the customer that you have not published any services yet.
Steps
- Open Price Book, then Booking Link.
- Under Share this link, select Copy to copy your readable link. Use it on business cards, invoices and email signatures, anywhere a person reads or types it.
- Under Print this code, use the QR code on anything that is scanned: vehicle wraps, door hangers, equipment labels. Select Download SVG to get a print-ready file. The code never changes, even if you change the link, so it is the one to use on anything long-lived.
- Under Add booking to your website, select Copy beside the two lines and paste them where you want the panel to appear. Customers choose a service, describe the job, pick a time, and give an address and contact details without leaving your site.
- To change the readable link, go to the Change your link section, read Before you change it, type the new name in the box, and select Change link. Use letters, numbers and hyphens, 3 to 63 characters.
What changing the link does
Your old link forwards to your page for 90 days. After that it becomes available to any other business, including a competitor, and anything still showing it would send customers to them. Reprint nothing that carries the old link; use the QR code. After a change the page shows the date you can change it again, and only one forward can run at a time. Previous links lists old links and whether each is Forwarding here or No longer works.
How a customer's route is recorded
Each request records where it came from, shown on the request in Marketplace Leads: Your booking link, Service link, QR code or Your website.
Tips
- Pick a link name that fits your business, not a trade word. Words like plumbing belong to no single business and cannot be used.
- If a service is pinned in the website panel, the customer skips the service step.
If something goes wrong
- If the page says you have no booking link right now, your permanent QR code still works; ask ServiceVisit support to set a new readable link.
- If a customer reaches a page saying you are not taking new requests, new requests are paused for your business.
- If the website panel shows no services, none has an available technician for the customer's ZIP code.
