Create a Work Order

ServiceVisit lets you create a Work Order, which is one technician assignment under a Job. You create one when a Job is ready to be worked. On the Create Work Order page you add an Execution summary, and you can also choose an Assigned Technician (optional), set when work should start and the expected duration, pick a Work Order Template under Advanced work setup, and add an Internal note. A Work Order can also be created from an approved estimate or from an assessment's findings.

A Job can have more than one Work Order. You would add another when the first visit does not finish the work, and you can create a follow-up Work Order directly from the Job.

Creating a Work Order does not do the work. After it exists, the technician carries it through to completion, and a technician can be assigned to it using the Job assignment permission.
