Manage Change Orders
A Change Order is how you handle added work you find while a Work Order is under way. Instead of quietly doing extra work, you pause and describe only what changed: a name, a customer-facing description, a pricebook category, a quantity and a price. The original approved work stays as it was.
You save it as a draft, which you can withdraw, or present it to the customer. While it waits for the customer's decision, you record whether the customer approved or declined. An approval is recorded as verbal, in-person authorization, and you confirm that you heard the customer approve the added work and total. A decline can carry a reason.
Once the customer has approved, you add the approved scope to the Work Order and resume work. Recording how the customer authorized the original work is a separate action.
