Create Recurring Invoices

This capability lets a provider set up a new recurring invoice for a customer who is billed on a schedule, such as a maintenance arrangement. You start from the Recurring page under Money.

You give the plan a name, choose the customer, and then choose one of that customer's linked properties. You also pick how often it repeats (weekly, biweekly, monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually), enter the amount, and set a start date and an optional end date. There is an option to retry failed payments automatically, with a maximum number of attempts and a number of days between retries.

The property's service address is recorded on the plan, and sales tax is calculated from that address and your configured tax jurisdictions on each invoice the plan generates. A property with an incomplete service address has to be corrected before the plan can be created.

Pausing, resuming or cancelling a plan once it exists is a separate action, as is turning on automatic payment.
