Reading Your Service History and Sharing a DIY Record for Certification
Service History is the timeline of everything recorded against your claimed properties, whether you entered it or a provider did. Each entry shows how much trust sits behind it. You can also share one of your own DIY entries with a provider you are connected to, so they can certify it.
Before you start
Sign in to your customer account and claim at least one property. To share a DIY entry, you also need an active connection to a provider for that property.
Steps
- Open Service History in the left menu. It covers all your claimed properties.
- To focus on one property, open it from My Properties and select View Service History, or select a property name on an entry.
- Use Event Type (Installation, Maintenance, Repair, Inspection), Trust Level and Source, then select Filter. Select Clear to reset.
- Read each entry: summary, date, property, event type, trust badge, and any system, asset or notes. Use Previous and Next to page through long histories.
- To share a DIY entry, open the property's history and find Share DIY Event For One-Time Provider Certification.
- Choose the DIY Event, choose the Provider, and check the Expires date and time. It starts two days ahead.
- Select Create One-Time Share. You see "One-Time certification share created."
- To withdraw a share that is still active, select Revoke under Grant History.
What the trust levels mean
- Customer DIY is work you entered yourself. It is unverified.
- Verified means a provider confirmed that your DIY entry is accurate. It does not mean they vouch for the quality of the work. The badge reads "Verified by" and the provider's name.
- Certified means a certified provider performed the work, or certified it, to professional standards. The badge reads "Certified by" and the provider's name.
The Trust Level filter offers DIY Only, Verified Only and Certified Only. The Source filter is labelled legacy and offers Customer DIY, Provider Certified and DIY Certified by Provider.
Tips
- Only your own DIY entries that are not yet certified can be shared. Each share is for one entry and one provider.
- A share expires on its own. Each one in Grant History shows its status, and Revoke appears only while it is Active.
- The share panel needs a single property selected. On the all-properties view it asks you to select a property first.
- An entry that certifies an earlier one shows a "Certifies event" reference to the original.
If something goes wrong
- If the panel says "No eligible uncertified DIY events were found for this property", there is nothing to share yet.
- If it says "No active provider relationships are available for this property yet", connect to a provider first. See the guide on managing your providers.
- If you see "Unable to create certification share", check the event and provider you picked, then try again.
- If the page says "No Service Events Yet", nothing matches. Clear the filters, or record your first event from a property page.
- If you see "Property not found or you don't have access", the property is not one you have claimed.
