Apply a Template to a Work Order

ServiceVisit lets you apply a Work Order Template to a Work Order. Applying a template fills the Work Order with the planned steps from the template, so the technician has a checklist instead of you typing the same steps again. You can also choose a template when you create the Work Order.

A template can be applied only before work starts. It is refused once the Work Order is in progress, completed or cancelled. It is also refused if the Work Order already has planned steps, or if a work plan has already been applied to it.

The template must also fit the Job. Its type of work has to match the Job's, unless the template is a generic one.

Choosing which templates exist is a separate matter from applying one.
