Rating Completed Work as a Customer

After a service provider finishes work at your Property, you can rate it. Your rating tells the provider how it went and helps other customers. This guide explains how to leave a rating, how to edit it, what the provider can do in response, and what to do if your rating is put under review.

Before you start

Sign in to your customer account. Only completed work that a provider recorded at a Property you own can be rated, and each piece of work can be rated once. If nothing is eligible, the page says No unrated completed work is available. Your rating never changes the service record itself.

Steps

Leave a rating

  1. Open Feedback in the menu. This shows Your ratings.
  2. Select Rate completed work.
  3. Under Completed work, choose the job from the list. Each entry shows a summary and a date.
  4. Enter your Overall rating (1–5).
  5. Optionally open Optional details and score Quality, Professionalism, Timeliness and Value, each from 1 to 5.
  6. Optionally write a Review (optional) of up to 2,000 characters.
  7. Tick I would hire this provider again if that is true.
  8. Select Save rating. You return to Your ratings.

Edit a rating

  1. Open Feedback. Your ratings are listed with the date and a version number.
  2. Select Edit rating under the rating. The link appears for seven days after you submitted it.
  3. Change what you need and select Save rating. Each edit saves a new version, and earlier versions are kept. Open Version and decision history under a rating to see them.

Check how your rating is handled

Each rating shows a status, such as Under review or Included, with a reason. If your review text shows Your text is awaiting privacy review, the text is being checked before it is published. Your score itself is handled separately. If the provider replies, you see it under Provider reply.

Respond if a rating is under review

If the provider disputes your rating, it shows Under review. Open Clarification or appeal under it, describe what happened in Supporting information, and select Send. If ServiceVisit has already made a decision, the same box lets you request an appeal of that decision.

Tips

  • Leave out addresses, names and contact details in your review. Text that contains an email address, a phone number, a web address or similar personal details, or hostile wording, cannot be published.
  • You can submit up to 10 ratings in a day.
  • If a status or reason is unclear, open Version and decision history under the rating. It lists each step taken.

If something goes wrong

  • If a message says the rating could not be saved, check that the work is eligible and that you are still inside the seven-day edit window.
  • If you cannot find your job in the list, it may already be rated or may not yet be recorded as complete by the provider.
  • If completed work could not be loaded, wait a moment and try again.
